This pair of spaulders offers fantastic movement and shoulder protection for medieval re-enactors. The straps and buckles on each side are designed to attach to each other.
Spaulders are armored plates worn upon the arm in a suit of plate armour for protection of the upper arm and shoulder area. Developed in the Middle Ages, spaulders continued to be worn well into the Renaissance.

These are for a large limbed person. On me they nearly reach my elbows and I'm huge. The strapping is simple but good, I would recommend redesigning it over a gambeson so it attaches to the undergarment but even out of the box they are great. The articulation is very smooth and quiet.
