Product Description

Full tang multi-use dagger for the medieval re-enactor. Could be used in combat after dulling the blade.

This dagger has a 5mm false (back) edge and 0.5~1.5mm blade edge.  (variations do occur so please specify you need)

This dagger features a circular brass guard & pommel, leather grip and full tang blade that is peened through the pommel. It also includes a leather sheath with belt loop.

The straight blade would not have lent itself to a slashing or sabre action. Rondel daggers were ideal in battle for puncturing chain mail, and although they would not have been able to punch through plate armour, they could be forced between the joints in a suit of armour and helmets. This was often the only way in which a heavily armoured knight could be killed.

      I am very satisfied with the 2 daggers I bought. Unfortunately the bladed edge is quite sharp and even when blunted could not be used for field combat. They however look quite nice and can still be used for one on one dagger practice (but not tournemants etc).

      These things are great for practicing the dagger plays from Wallerstein, Meyer etc. The edges are thick, sturdy, and completely blunt. A completed thrust is still very dangerous and should not be performed, but for training the techniques this is the best tool you'll find.
