Foil — a light thrusting weapon with a valid target area that is restricted to the torso, including the back, but not the arms. Hits are scored only with the tip; hits with the side of the blade of the weapon are disregarded. Only a single hit can be scored by either fencer at one time. If both fencers hit at the same time, the referee must use the rules of "right of way" to determine which fencer gets the touch.

Mine came with a rubber tip, which I much prefer over the button, besides that it is exactly like in the picture except with black grip and pad.
An exceptional price for a good weapon for training and beginners.
I managed to build an Italian grip for mine and it works a treat.

I got one of these for fencing classes. At $30 it is very good, I have used it in a few fights now, and it has worked very well so far. You do not need to buy any rubber tips for this, as I learned. It seems to have some kind of non-functional electric tip.
The handle is a little fatter and less comfortable than some more expensive brand foils I have used, but at $30 it is really a non-issue. If you are new to foil fencing it is an excellent starter, in my opinion.
