  1. Mixed feelings about this purchase.

Posted by Rolf Kathe on 10th Apr 2012

I purchased this drinking horn as by description it is the largest. When measured it does add up. The only problem is the one I purchased only holds 135ml. Which is by no means large. That is actually less than half a pot. Maybe you should include the amount of liquid one contains.

Note from MFC: Every horn is unique in size, shape and volume. This is true even when two look the same on the outside.

  2. Definately an attention getter

Posted by Rob on 22nd Mar 2011

Bought one of these the other day. Very good, looks awesome, mostly dark with some white streaking.

Wore it at a medieval day recently and it received alot of attention, with one guy definately on a mission to buy his own.

Asked "Medieval Fightclub" to match my drinking horn to the leather holder which they had no problems doing, so that when I received the holder and horn they were already fitted.

Perhaps only problem is they don't come with either a resin or beeswax coating which I now need to do. But it shouldn't be difficult.

    Thanks for another awesome purchase.

  3. For all your Old School drinking needs

Posted by Kathryn Small on 11th Nov 2009

This drinking horn is totally old school :)

Mine arrived today and it looks just as awesome as it does in the photos. It's a mostly dark horn with white tints near the open part. The horn itself is very solid and feels a bit heavy (which I like -- it feels authentic, if that makes sense).

The brass stamping looks especially cool in real life -- they're shiny, very solid, and beautifully crafted onto the horn.

I would recommend this horn for all your medieval drinking needs :)
