The Knights Hospitallers, also known as the Order of Hospitallers or simply Hospitallers, were a group of men attached to a hospital in Jerusalem that was founded by Blessed Gerard around 1023 out of which two major Orders of Chivalry evolved, the Order of St. John (now in branches known as the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and as the Johanniterorden) and the Order of St. Lazarus.

The Hospitallers arose because of the work of an Amalfitan hospital located in the Muristan district of Jerusalem, founded around 1023 to provide care for poor, sick or injured pilgrims to the Holy Land. After the Western Christian conquest of Jerusalem in 1099 during the First Crusade, the organisation became a religious and military order under its own charter, and was charged with the care and defence of the Holy Land.

This suit of armour and clothing is full adult size. This suit of armour is ready to wear and easy to assemble. It has been assembled using the very best of parts as sold by Medieval-Fightclub to fit this period and the photos just don't do any complete suit justice. Everything in this suit is combat ready and practical. All these items have been selected to best match and portray an image of the crusading knight in full battle armour. We can change the tunic and cloak from hospitaller to a templar. Just ask before placing an order.

What you get:

Crusader Helm 14ga. (Super Strength) Includes padding and chin strap.
     

3 lame, shoulder pauldrons. The straps and buckles on each side are designed to strap around the arm with holes at the top for fitting direct to arming jacket, jupon etc.
 

Mail Hauberk (chain mail) - Will fit waist size up to 120cm and is approx 120cm long. Coif not included.
  

Padded Gambeson / aketon - Padded gambeson for use on its own or under chainmail and plate. This gambeson is light-weight and slips easily over the head. Complete coverage around throat is achieved using an overlapping leather tie. See extra photos for details. Approximately 8mm thick. Chest - 108cm (42.5 inches).
   

Tunic and cloak - Knights Hospitaller of St John black overcoat with white cross that is designed to be worn over mail. Also comes with a matching cloak that has an exquisite clasp and matching white edging. We can change the tunic and cloak from hospitaller to a templar. Just ask before placing an order.
  

Belt (crusader style) - This belt has a broad buckle inlaid with a red enamelled crusader cross
 

Gauntlets (simple hand protection) - full combat mittens.
    

Large leg greaves (pair) This pair of medieval leg greaves offer complete leg protection for re-enactors, 420mm (16.5 inches) high.

Dagger with wire grip - A beautifully made dagger with elegant pommel and braided wire grip.
