This suit of armour is full adult size and because of the nature of adjustable overlapping plates it will fit a range of heights between 1620mm ~ 2050mm. Our Churburg styled armour is fully articulated and wearable and boasts many of the features found on the original suit. Many of the individual steel plates that make up the 16 ga. breastplate (which has a lance rest attached to the right hand side) and arm-harness are bordered with decorative etched brass strips. This fully wearable suit is based on the famous harness housed in the Castle of Churburg in Italy. Believed to have been made in Milan during the second half of the 14th century, this high quality armour is one of the earliest known examples of a near-intact harness. This armour typifies a period when the traditional mail coat, reinforced with varying degrees of plate protection, was still predominant on the battlefields of Europe and predates the full plate suits of the 15th century.

Ventail / Standard - maille collar to protect the neck.
Padded coif - cap and neck protection made from quilted material.
Rearbraces - covering the biceps, edged and detailed in brass.
Couters - solid construction elbow guards.
Vambraces - fitted to rearbrace with a hinged adjustable cuff.
Gauntlets (hand protection) - full fingered steel articulated gloves (need leather inserts attached to be worn).
Breastplate/cuirass (chest) - includes front and backplate. Will fit waist size up to 110cm.
Maille blackened steel rings with a brass cross on the chest. This design reflects the purity of the knight.
Cuisses (thigh guard) - Full articultated thigh complete with smooth shaping for supperior deflection.
Poleyns (knees) - Pointed with with 5 articulations just for the knee.
Greaves (shins) - formed with locking pin designed to fit perfectly into bottom of the polyens.
Sabatons or solleret are a knights armoured protection for the feet. Sixteenth century sabatons typically end in a tapered point well past the actual toes of the wearer's foot. Sabatons of the first half of sixteenth century end at the tip of the toe and may be wider than the actual foot.
